Dr. Santana-Izquierdo has been in private practice for over 25 years. She has been serving the community since 1998. She specializes in Clinical Cardiology and has special interests in Heart Failure, Atrial Fibrillation and Preventive Cardiology. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Dr. Santana-Izquierdo completed her internal medicine training at St. Barnabas Medical Center (Affiliated with UMDMJ) in New Jersey. She then completed Subspecialty Training in Cardiovascular Diseases at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Santana-Izquierdo is currently a member of the Medical Executive Committee and is the Chairperson for the Quality Improvement Committee at Doctors Hospital. She has also served on the Credentialing Committee of Doctors Hospital. .

Dr. Santana-Izquierdo has been Chief of Cardiology and Internal Medicine and a Member of the Medical Executive Committee at Coral Gables Hospital.
